Hello my friends,
Another item you find at almost every thrift shop or flea market
is the potato masher.
They do work great for mashing-
I stained the handle and attached a small clip at the top.
The wide base keeps it from tipping over.
A small wood clothes pin could also be used.
Clip a photo or recipe at the top
and display any little treasure on the base.
This will help keep our napkins from blowing away!

Are you kidding me? I need this. I look at my napkin holder everyday and think , "Look at you. You don't even hold the napkins nicely, they look droopy" I had a few ideas but now I want this. Thx for sharing at Funtastic Friday.
ReplyDeleteOh thanks!
DeleteIt does keep those napkins together. I found these at Dollar tree years ago and I wish I got more :)

That's a great idea. I would have never thought about using a potato masher for a recipe book holder or anything else for that matter. I have to get my mother on board with this idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you stopped by. Thank you for your kind words.

Rachelle
Rachelle,
DeleteOh me too! I love vintage postcards- You can still find them easy enough and the cards don't take up too much room :)
I am so glad I can join you. Thank you for hosting.

This is just SO clever! Not in a million years would I look at a potato masher and think "That's just the thing to keep our napkins in!"
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's balanced just enough to not tip over too.
