Vintage Book Hidden File Holder

Hello friend !

I was doing a bit of cleaning-

I came across this old Dictionary, I use the pages

for all sorts of crafty things.

It's getting pretty shabby and falling apart with

lots of pages missing.

I thought I would save the cover while I can.

I went to our pantry.

I hoped to find a cereal box about the size of my book.

Yes, It was about the right size.

I measured 3'' up the side from the bottom

and across to the top of the opposite side.

The cardboard was easy to cut with scissors.

I glued the side of the box to the spine

of the book.

I love Fabri-Tac,

but any glue will do!

I made a pattern piece of the short side of box for extra strength.

Folded  the edges, and set aside

I covered the bottom with pretty scrapbook paper.

Fold over and glue down the sides.

Then glued the box to the cover.

press down and let dry.

Flip to the other side and glue down.

Glue the front piece that you put aside earlier.

I used a couple large rubber bands to hold in place.

It stands nice and sturdy!

Makes a hide-away for just about anything.

I need this for receipts and general deck clutter!

From the front-

and from the back-

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Thanks for visiting-
xo Lisa S
