Fresh Idea for Steel Cut Oatmeal Anytime

Hello Friend!

I hope you are having a wonderful summer-

Fall is on the way, and busy morning routines begin.

I'd like to share with you how our family enjoys our oatmeal.

We start the night before.

Crock Pot Overnight Oatmeal

1 cup Steel Cut Oats

4 cups Water

Use Cooking Spray or Butter

on the bottom of the crockpot.

On LOW overnight.

I start at about 9:00 PM and in the mourning at about 6:00AM

the oatmeal is ready!

We enjoy a big bowl...everyone eats at different times.

I'm the last one !

I put the leftovers from the morning into a muffin tin.

I use cooking spray on the tin. I think it probably helps.

I put the muffin tin in the freezer for about an hour.

Then the frozen muffins pop easily out of the tin.

Store in a zip lock freezer bag.

Place one or two frozen muffin blocks

in a microwaveable bowl.

I add a teaspoon of water and cook on high for 1 minute.

Check and stir, cook for another minute if needed.

If you prefer, you can let it thaw overnight in the fridge.

My husband likes his oatmeal with just brown sugar.

I like mine with blueberries, walnuts and honey.

Delicious breakfast or snack !

Have a blessed day!

Repurposed Vintage Pillowcases

Hello my friends,

I stopped my favorite thrift shop this week

and found a small bag of embroidered scraps for .50 -

I intended to make more Junk Journal covers.

After I got home I realized someone had cut off the embroidered section

of a few pillowcases.

I washed and ironed the pieces.

I had a few vintage wood hangers on hand.

I was able to match up the pieces.

Each hanger was completely different,

so I made a pattern for each one.

I traced the curve, marked the pattern

and the hanger with the same number.

Pinned and stitched right sides together.

Leaving a 1/8'' opening at the top to pull the hanger through.

The width of the pillowcase fit the hanger perfect.

I had hardly any trimming to do-

If you want to hang items with thin straps,

you can sew a couple of buttons to the top seam on the hanger.

Pretty in the guest closet.

They fit nice and snug over the hanger !

That was the easiest project ever!

Thank you for visiting :)
