Another Repurposed Alarm Clock

Hi my friend !

How are you doing?

Busy week.....Time change.... November's here...oh yeah and Election Day!

Let's make something!

I have another broken clock,

all I needed to do was unscrew the back to remove the inside parts.

I used part of a gift bag for the background .

I cut my background and then glued it to cardboard.

I like to have the sides covered, but you can use paint if you prefer.

Gather up your miniatures to display.

I make my own snowmen with acorn cap hats.

I used a scrap of styrofoam to give my snowmen

something to stand on and to raise them up higher.

Glue everything in place.

I removed the base of the trees and glued them into the styrofoam.

After everything is dry, turn it upside down to make sure

nothing is loose!

Time for glitter!

I love crystal clear it looks like glistening snow.

Just a dot here and there with Tacky glue.

Remove extra glitter and let it dry completely.

Now give it one more look to see if you need more snow!

I needed to glue my plastic lens to the outside ring-

I used super glue gel. It stays right were you put it!

I always put the cover on without glue, just in case

you need to open up your clock again.

That's it !

Here are couple clocks from past years.

Thank you so much! Look for clocks at Thrifts and garage sales-even if they are missing the lens, clocks make nice little cubbies for collections.

  13. Oh my goodness, these are so clever. I'm sure I've sent old clocks to the charity shop in the past, now I'm wishing I'd kept them! Once our lockdown is lifted and those Charity shops open I'll have to go and buy some back!
