Valentine Candy Box Journal

Hello!

I found this small heart candy box at the DOLLAR TREE.

I thought it would make a cute journal-

Open up the top and sides.

Using scissors to cut top and right side.

I will save this for paint-

Not the best chocolate....I smashed it with a kitchen mallet.

It will be great for chocolate pancakes!

This book is FULL of wonderful retro Valentines!

With punch-out designs and envelopes to cut and glue.

I found it on AMAZON.

Printed by Golden Books- 2006

Still available !

Well worth the price at $5.99

I saved the cover too-

It should be easy to find.

I removed the envelope pages and put them together.

Easy to follow instructions

The front cover has this wonderful window that I made into a pocket.

Glue top, left and bottom- leave right side open.

I collected pages and scraps from my stash of paper

to start making signature piles.

I used a corner round punch to match the cover.

I had so much fun punching out the valentines!

I used just a few to fill the journal.

They were added by paperclips..
.
in case they will be used later.

I sewed the signature pages using red embroidery floss.

This is one way to make an attached envelope.

Fold left over to hid signature stitches, glue edges and

fold flap over.

The corners were rounded and 'lock' sticker added.

The flower valentine was also from the book.

The petals and pot lift for a secret message.

Some of the valentines have fold marks and can open.

I had this mini pad of paper, I just glued it to the back cover.

You can cover the back if you prefer.

I left it the way it was.

Here is the finished journal.

Thank you for  staying until the end!
This was a long one-

I hope you have a wonderful week-
xo Lisa S
