Easy Pumpkin Apple Butter / Pumpkin Spoon

Hi Friends,

This is one of our favorite FALL recipes.

It's delicious, easy to make and fun to share with others.

Pumpkin Apple Butter

1   15 oz. canned Pumpkin

1 cup unsweetened Applesauce

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

1 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. ground Ginger

1/4 tsp. Allspice

I made my own applesauce but you don't need to if you have some in your pantry.

Just skip this part.

3 Granny Smith apples cored and sliced

Cover with water, cook until tender.

Drain

Mash to desired consistency.

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan,

bring to a boil and reduce heat. Leave on low for 5 min.

We like it with a lot of spice.

Do a taste test to see if you want more sugar :)

If you do, cook another 5 min.

Fill 3  half pint jars.

Store in fridge for 2 months-

No need to use the canning process -

I have caught my family eating it by the spoonful.

Delicious on toast and pancakes!

I wanted to take a jar over to my neighbors....

I thought I would wrap the jar in a cellophane bag

with a new dishtowel and wood spoon.

First I used food coloring to dye the spoon orange.....

it looks more yellow I know.

I drew a pumpkin face-

Then got out my wood burning tool-

Tied it up with raffia-

It made my neighbor smile!

You are the best for hanging out with me today !

Thank you,

Hugs-Lisa S

Here's the Snowman version !

Please rest and get well soon! I did not know you could get it again once you are infected. This is awful!
Did you get it in California? Sorry :( Lisa S
