Thrifty Find- Enamelware Ladle

Hi Friends!

One of my favorite thrift stores

finally opened!

With restrictions and shorter hours of course.

I was able to do a quick run through.

I found this enamelware ladle, cheap and chippy.....

just the way I like it !

I was excited about about my

first purchase in months.

I  knew I wanted to plant some succulents

in the bowl.

Just fill with potting soil and a few small cuttings.

Now I am on the lookout for more.

You really can't just have one.....

I feel this is the beginning of a new collection !

Have you been out thrifting yet ?

Did you find anything you

needed to bring home ?

  1. Hi, Lisa, I just really got out today and will probably make a quick post out of it. Honestly why is pouring over someone elses' throw-aways such fun. I really don't know, but it was second under seeing my kids that I missed in quarantine. Very cute use of a couple of finds! Sandi

Thank you! I know what you mean, it is a great feeling. I think it wakes up our creativity. Making something from nothing is always exciting. I 'm so glad you could see your kids. That has been so hard. I miss hugs.

    1. Thanks Kathy,
Yes, it had mad chips and rust. I think I'll get some more life out of it :)

  7. Wonderful upcycle for a ladle and the succulents are perfect for it! I miss thrift shopping so it's a good thing I have a big thrift stash to choose from for projects.

  11. Such a sweet idea, I saw something similar in a cafe in Greece on holiday about 3 years ago and thought it was lovely then. I had some idea I might do the same but of course I've done nothing about it! I'm re-inspired, thank you!

    1. Julie,
I saw it in a magazine years ago and kept it in the back of my mind. Now I am all the look out for more :)
