Hello there friend !
To me, nothing says
'SPRINGTIME' like
Bunnies!
I see my Bunny Book collection is
multiplying like rabbits.
Little Golden Books are an easy way to start a collection.
I've picked these up here and there.
The Bunny Book is a favorite of mine by Patsy Scarry
and illustrated by Richard Scarry.
For Little Golden Book's 75th Anniversary
many classics were reprinted.
The Whispering Rabbit by Margaret Wise Brown's is definitely a classic.
This copy of The Lively Rabbit is from 1943
before Little Golden books had the gold foil spine.
Uncle Wiggily's Story Book was my Dad's favorite.
I was able to share it with my children.
I'm looking forward to sharing it again with
my Grandchildren .
The illustrations are so detailed
This Little Jack Rabbit is another adorable series.
Sometimes I will pickup a book just by the cover.
I haven't read read this one yet but I liked the cover.
I found these two books on my shelf-
both by Carolyn Sherwin Bailey.
This is a funny story!
I just started collecting these Beatrix Potter books
for my Granddaughter.
Her mother told me they were her favorites from childhood.
Tell me if you have a favorite bunny
story I need to add to my collection.
I'm always on the lookout.

Speaking of rascally Rabbits, our fenced in garden has a bunny nest in the dead center. I was cleaning up the debris from the winter and accidentally uncovered it.. and one escaped...after two nights, MOm came back with the wayward bunny and they are happily nesting in our veggie garden which isn't even planted yet. We have micro mesh metall fencing on order to put all the way around for when she leaves...so I sort of cracked up at your post...while I do remembering having several of these as a child, and as a Mom and now Grandmom. Cute post
ReplyDeleteSandi,
DeleteOh I feel for you with the rabbits in the garden. They are so tricky but cute and they always win. We use mesh wire and I don't know how.... but they get in. Thanks for the visit!!!

What a great collection of bunny classics. Bunnicula is another favorite.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Bunnicula ! It sounds funny, I'll look for it at the library. Thanks for the tip and thanks for visiting.

How cute! My kids had some of those books when they were small and I bet I still have some stashed away! Loved Beatrix Potter books when I was a child, too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed leaving them out for family on Easter. We talked about over favorites and laughed about the trouble bunnies get into.
DeleteThank you for your sweet comment!
